For those who do not know queer was an umbrella term to describe those who identify as LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender). Since its first use it has grown to be a term used to define most people who do not identify as heterosexual.
The term queer originally started as a derogatory term to belittle those who identified within the LGBT category but it is now slowly makings its way back to be owned by those, where it rightly belongs, US.
Queer is a term that expresses strength and empowerment, use it, take it forward, let it be known. We are free, unique individuals who are growing, proud, walking through life with our heads held high. we may have struggled along our way through life to live truly as we are but I say to you never stop being.
